What Is a Butterfly Valve?
A Butterfly Valve is a “Quarter-Turn Rotary Motion Valve” that uses a disc as the Flow Control Element. When the handle or Actuator turns the disc a quarter of a turn, (90) the valve opens or closes, allowing or stopping flow. The Disc remains in the flow path, offering a simple yet effective design.
