Double Offset Butterfly Valves

Construction

Valve stem is offset from the centreline of the disc seat and body seat.

Mechanism

Because of Valve Stem is Offset from the Centerline of the Disc Seat & Body Seat, it gives perfect Sealing.

At Seat, with 90⁰Turning Handle. In Double Offset Seat Material can be Synthetic Rubber OR PTFE OR PEEK etc. depending upon the application in industries.

Key Operational details

Butterfly Valves work much like Ball Valves but with a simpler “Quarter-Turn Mechanism,” making “Shut-Off Swift.”

Positioned at the Center of the Pipe, the Disc is connected to a rod, or Valve Stem,which extends to an Actuator(Lever/Handle) located outside the Valve. By Turning the Actuator, the Disc aligns either Parallel or Perpendicular to the Flow.

Unlike Ball Valves, the Disc stays within the Flow path, causing a Pressure Drop even when Fully Open. Nevertheless, the Valve can be gradually opened to regulate the flow.
